Meet the Staff

Clairice Hetzler, Executive Director

Brooke Baldwin, Children's Advocacy Center of Adams County Coordinator
Brooke is from Quincy, IL, and her position is to set up multidisciplinary interviews for child sexual abuse/serious physical abuse investigations and maintain contact with the involved parties throughout the entire investigative and prosecution process of each case. She also assists in the continued development and operation of the program.

Alison Myers, CASA Coordinator
Alison is from Camp Point, IL, and her position at the Children's Action Network is associated with supervising, training and recruiting CASA volunteers. She is here to speak in the best interest of abused, neglected and dependent children in the court system and also to attend all court hearings associated with CASA cases.

Barb Elston, Program Assistant & Child and Family Advocate
Barb is from Mendon, IL, and her position as program assistant involves many different jobs, which include: answering the phone, greeting visitors, typing and mailing letters, helping with projects—Fundraisers, Medical Training, Volunteer Appreciation Reception, etc., printing checks and mail, balancing checkbook, working with Clairice to compile the Newsletter. Barb as a Child and Family Advocate is here to help reduce trauma to a child victim and his/her non-offending family members and to advocate for successful case outcomes for the child victim.

Pam Browning, Children's Advocacy Center of Pike County Coordinator
Pam is from Pike County, Illinois, and her job requires her to schedule interviews with law enforcement, DCFS and the State's Attorney to best accommodate the victim and the family, advocating through the entire case as needed. She is also there to listen empathetically, maintain appropriate case files, schedule multidisciplinary meetings with investigators and the State's Attorney each month, and keep the non-offending family members updated. Pam is required to make referrals and keep statistics of each case she is involved with.
